Virtual Newsletter about Software Freedom October 1, 2024 Student Privacy: Does It Exist? Short answer: No. Why is there no student privacy? Because companies LOVE selling data. Especially with students. Software such as GoGuardian are monitoring students and are a constant Red Flag Machine ;) Monitoring at the TCP level is also possible. TCP Reset packets are commonly used for censorship. Since it's TCP level and not TLS, anyone can do it. Anyone!!! That means your ISP, public wifi attackers, etc. can censor ALL of your TCP traffic. There is no way to bypass this censorship, and that is one big problem. But I don't know why nobody cares. I see a few EFF articles, and that's all. NO ONE CARES. I want to change that. I support free speech. Let's remove this proprietary censorship, as it does more harm then good. The world would be better without vendor lock-in in the educational area. Just imagine. - NexusSfan --- Sources: https://redflagmachine.com/research/ - CC BY 3.0 US --- --- Copyright (c) 2024 NexusSfan Except where otherwise noted, this work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License A copy of the license is included at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 ---
