Virtual Newsletter about Software Freedom November 5, 2024 Political Software Freedom I don't think that any president or political figure has ever spoke about free software. Why? Well, software freedom isn't popular enough. But "Open Source" may be popular enough? I think that most policitians have other things to worry about. But mainly, it's because of Sillicon Valley. They fund a lot of things. So if you tried making a proposition to ban proprietary software, Sillicon Valley would put millions of dollars into making sure it loses. Sad. If there ever was a policital figure that spoke about software freedom, I would like to know.
